I offer the following services:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) Therapy, an evidence-based psychotherapy for PTSD endorsed by The American Psychological Association, The American Psychiatric Association and The International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies 1998 and 2008, amongst others. EMDR is recommended as an effective treatment for trauma in the Practice Guidelines of the World Health Organization, the American Psychiatric Association and the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs and is empirically validated in over 24 randomized studies.
I am extensively trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), an evidence-based empirically validated treatment that includes skills for mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness to treat emotion dysregulation and enhance daily functioning.
I am trained in TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, an evidence based treatment for youth impacted by trauma and their families and caregivers and MAP (Managing and Adapting Practice) which utilizes the most common components of evidence-based practices to improve the lives of youth and their families.
I am also a Certified Sibshops Facilitator. Sibshops are workshops for siblings of children with special needs.
I am certified in EAP (Equine-assisted psychotherapy) & EAL (Equine-assisted learning) by EAGALA. EAP and EAL are evidence-driven, experiential, solution-oriented and client-centered approachs by which clients project and analyze their situations, make connections, and find their own solutions.
I offer groups and equine-assisted workshops on various topics such as grief, self-care, team-building and goal setting and achievement.
